Adult Groups

​SMALL GROUPS MINISTRY

Small Groups meet at various times, dates and locations. These groups foster friendship, discipleship and learning for adults of all ages. The vision of small groups at Avon UMC is to have ongoing small groups who learn, pray and live life together while growing in relationship to Jesus Christ and to one another. Please check the CHURCH CALENDAR for our current and upcoming groups, sessions, and meeting dates, or email the church office for more information.

THE MOMCO (formerly MOPS)

The MomCo is a group for all moms, birth through whenever, to connect with one another and gain support through a faith-centered group experience. The MomCo meets on 1st & 3rd Tuesdays during the school year. Check out our The MomCo page on this website, and/or contact Jessica Holland at office@avonumchurch.org.

Men's Bible Study - Mondays at 7:00pm

HANDCRAFT GROUPS/MINISTRIES

Prayer Shawl Group (knitting/crochet) meets to create lap-robes, shawls and baby blankets that are given to charity, babies being baptized at Avon UMC and also adults in need of prayer and comfort. If you enjoy crocheting or knitting, and you would like to donate your work, consider joining this group.

    Monthly, 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 9:30am, church and/or off-site

WOMEN'S CIRCLE Monthly, 1st Tuesdays at 1:00pm

Women's Circle Mission:

• To provide a casual gathering space in a Christian atmosphere where women from AUMC can connect with other women, share experiences, and build friendships.
• To provide assistance to Feed the Hungry through financial support and prayer.
